Christian Country Music Ministry performs traditional hymns and original material in a western swing style format. Musicians for this performance include, Rick McRae (lead guitarist for George Strait’s Ace in the Hole Band, elected to the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame), Danny Levin (multi-Grammy® award winner playing fiddle and cello who previously toured with Asleep at the Wheel), Emily Gimble (pianist, who has previously been named Texas musician of the year and previously named “Best Keyboards” - Austin Music Awards and toured with Asleep at the Wheel), Ricky Boen (fiddler who is a National Champion and has performed with some of the greatest entertainers including the Sons of Pioneers), Dave Sanger (six-time Grammy Winner drummer previously with Asleep At the Wheel), Joey Colarusso (Sax, Studied Doctor of Musical Arts and toured with Asleep At the Wheel), Phil Telford (multi instrumentalist and known as one of Western Swing’s finest steel players), Mark Weatherston (the South Texas go-to bass player for Gospel and Western Swing), and Roy West (lead singer, songwriter who has won awards from various Christian Music Associations).
