    The Zilker Tree Lighting Ceremony is Austin’s traditional kick-off to the holiday season and you are invited! Join the free virtual festivities with host Quita Culpepper,  city officials, the young winners from the Zilker Holiday Tree art contest, Austin Civic Wind Ensemble and Barton Hills Choir Sunday. The event will air on Sunday, November 29 at 6pm from City of Austin social media channels. Set a reminder for a virtual spin under the tree, and learn more about viewing options at AustinTexas.gov/ZilkerHolidayTree. There will not be an in-person Zilker Tree Lighting Ceremony in 2020 due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions.

    Trail of Lights
    Tickets are now on sale for the 56th Annual Austin Trail of Lights, open Nov. 28, 2020 - Jan. 3, 2021 at Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Rd. The iconic holiday lights and festivities will feature over 2 million lights, 90 holiday trees, and 70 other holiday displays and tunnels. Due to COVID-19 restrictions Trail of Lights will be open for drive-thru admission only in 2020. Per vehicle tickets must be purchased in advance.
