“Zubaani” in Hindustani translates to “through the language” or “by means of language.” It discusses South-Asian parenting tips and storytelling with folk, personal, and regional stories that build our common myths and community as people.
This event is the the celebration for season 2’s launch with podcast hosts and writers Salma Hussain and Upasna Kakroo. They will be joined by other writers, parents, readers, and community members. Select guests will talk about their work. The event will host a book trivia, and have a Q&A style panel discussion with the podcast hosts and learn about the journey of the podcast that features South Asian books and stories.
The event will be held online and participants will receive links to attend after they RSVP.
This event is a celebration of AAPI stories and books especially in the kidlit space and spotlights intergenerational storytelling. It is produced by nonprofit Peerbagh with support from the City of Austin Economic Development Department's Elevate grant.
