PLAN A STAY AT THE HILTON AUSTIN

Whether you’re in town for work or play, the Hilton Austin is an ideal lodging choice

Connected to the Austin Convention Center via private overhead walkway and within blocks of entertainment and shopping districts, the Hilton Austin is the place to stay for both business and leisure travelers. And after a $25 million renovation that transformed its guest rooms, lobby and meeting spaces, plus added two new restaurants, the time is better than ever to plan a stay.

GREAT SPACES

The Hilton Austin’s recent renovation reflects the hip vibe of the city. The revamped lobby features intimate social zones and designated work spaces, along with a funky digital media wall.

The Reverbery meetings and events space captures a cool Austin recording studio attitude, melding industrial design with mid-century furnishings. Its wall of folding windows makes for flexible indoor/outdoor space that can accommodate 200 people reception-style or 122 for a seated dinner. The 931-square-foot patio provides alfresco seating for 30. Food and drink menus specially designed by the hotel’s two new restaurants represent the culinary culture of the Live Music Capital.

The refreshed 80,000-square-foot meetings space (with one of the biggest ballrooms in Austin) exudes modern elegance, providing the perfect backdrop for everything from a business meeting to a grand gala.

NEW DINING CONCEPTS

The Hilton Austin has unveiled two tasty new dining concepts. Cannon + Belle has the feel of a stylish living room, with locally crafted furnishings, an indoor biergarten and a view of Brush Park. The restaurant is named for feisty Texas Archive War lynchpin Angelina Belle Eberly, who famously fired a cannon ball into Austin’s General Land Office Building in 1842 (a statue was erected in her honor on Congress Avenue). Cannon + Belle embodies this bold Texas spirit with an innovative Tex-fresh dining concept. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Cannon + Belle features fun offerings like a granola lab with cold-pressed juices, wood-grilled pizza (try the “bird pizza” with bacon-wrapped quail and duck ham, topped with a duck egg) and Gulf shrimp with smoked gouda grits. Sip a KTonic Kombucha cocktail or a glass of local Duchman Family wine.

The energetic Austin Taco Project is a fusion taco bar offering craft beers and novel tacos. Taking its cue from some of the world’s favorite street tacos, Austin Taco Project infuses its tacos with far-flung flavors, as seen in the Dubai (chicken tikka with green curry in a red onion-saffron tortilla) and Good Morning Vietnam (caramel barbecue chicken with smoked soy sriracha mayo, nestled in a flour tortilla). Sample a flight of craft brews or sip a tap cocktail like the Lavender Lemonade spiked with gin. Play pub games or sit on the expansive streetside patio and listen to live music. Plan an intimate dinner or reception in one of the three private dining rooms, which can accommodate up to 75 guests.

Even the new 3,000-square-foot Starbucks has a twist. The newest corner coffee shop is the largest Starbucks store in Texas, with a community boardroom and pet-friendly outdoor patio available for use while enjoying a Starbucks favorite.
