Austin History: Michael Barnes writes about the city’s people, places, culture and history for the Austin American-Statesman, the city’s daily newspaper. He links Old Austin to New Austin, bringing the past into the present. Waterloo Press recently published his book, “Indelible Austin: Selected Histories.” He is available for speeches, readings or limited tours. The Austin History Center Association can make copies of the book available for sale onsite for any event.
