    About

One of the top facilities in all of collegiate softball opened its doors on Feb. 7, 1998, when a sellout crowd of 1,251 walked through the gates of Red & Charline McCombs Field, the home of Texas Softball. The $4.5 million stadium complex sports all the amenities of a first-class stadium, with spacious home and visiting team dugouts and locker rooms, along with coaches suites, team meeting areas and an umpire locker room. A unique feature of the home and visiting locker rooms is their direct access to the dugouts. The NCAA regulation-size field sports the finest grass and clay infield available. When fans and opponents arrive at McCombs Field they are treated to unobstructed grandstand seating, a great concessions area and easily-accessible parking. The field and complex area are named for UT benefactor Red McCombs and his wife Charline.

Construction was completed in 2009 on the Longhorns' 4,400-square-foot training facility along the left field line at Red & Charline McCombs Field.

The covered area features three movable hitting bays and an additional skill development area. The facility also boasts wireless technology that allows UT coaches and student-athletes to record and immediately analyze swings, throwing motions and overall form.
