Austin Michelin Restaurants with Private Dining Space

An impressive 20-foot hearth and open kitchen are front and center at Hestia in Downtown Austin. Craft a menu with creative presentations of oysters, charred broccoli, aged Texas wagyu sirloin, halibut and chocolate fondant dessert. A full buyout of the bar, dining rooms, front patio and the secluded garden can accommodate 150 standing or 82 seated. Reserve specific areas for events ranging from 24 seated to 60 standing. Food service options include passed appetizers, chef stations, and plated brunch, lunch and dinner.

The menu choices are superb at InterStellar BBQ, thanks to its technique of cooking meats like brisket, pork spare ribs and turkey over the best Texas post oak. Make sure your attendees also get to sample sides like jalapeño slaw, barbecue beans, smoked scallop potatoes and pasta shells covered with creamy gouda cheese. Book all or part of the restaurant for private events ranging from four people to more than 50. Catering services are also offered.

la Barbecue puts top-grade meats like brisket, beef or pork ribs, turkey and spicy sausages in a custom smoker fueled by seasoned Texas post oak. Order meats by the pound or go with sandwiches, plus sides like brisket chili, potato salad and beans. Add in several house-made pickled items, including red onions, jalapeños and garlic pickles. Cozy indoor or covered outdoor patio spaces are available for private dinners, full buyouts, and happy hours with wine and champagne. Pickup orders are also available.

Global flavors influence the barbecue that’s cooked over post oak and served up by LeRoy and Lewis. Work with their staff to create a menu that features a variety of meats sourced from local farms, handhelds and sides. Selections include pulled whole hog, flat iron, brisket, beef cheeks, sausages, shareable bites, and veggies like cauliflower burnt ends and miso-glazed carrots. The restaurant offers private spaces for dinners, cocktail parties and other events. Catering is also available for groups of all sizes.

Dai Due serves fresh, locally sourced food by buying from the area’s farmers and ranchers. Offerings change frequently to take advantage of what’s in season. Even the olive oil, wine and beer are from Texas. A sample menu might include roasted oysters, Longhorn beef-and-potato empanadas, Gulf shrimp skewers, 60-day, dry-aged wagyu ribeye and smoked pork chops. Reserve a spot for 10 or more people in Dai Due’s dining room or on the patio.

The menu changes daily at Emmer & Rye to match the bounty of ingredients available from local farmers. Offerings might include red corn johnny cakes, smoked egg custard with trout roe, lamb leg, and kale-and-carrot cake. Semi-private dining is available for 12 guests in a section of the dining room, or you can host 40 people on the covered patio. A full buyout of the restaurant accommodates 65 seated or 150 standing for brunch, lunch or dinner. The menu can be a mix of shared plates, individual dishes, passed bites and chef stations. Off-site catering is also available.

Think of Kemuri Tatsu-ya as an inventive fusion of Texas barbecue with classic Japanese izakaya and Tatsu-ya preparations. Specialties at the charming, dimly lit restaurant are smoked meats, grilled skewered meat and ramen. Lunch or dinner service for group dining might include bento boxes, charred edamame, guaca-poke, cornbread taiyaki, chicken thigh-and-scallion skewers, and smoked brisket and ribs. Tamago pudding completes the meal. The restaurant is from the team behind Austin’s popular Ramen Tatsu-ya.

Taste the difference in the tostadas, tacos and quesadillas served at Nixta Taqueria, which makes its masa and tortillas with heirloom corn from Oaxaca, Mexico. While it’s mostly counter service here, Nixta accepts reservations for its masa omakase every Thursday through Saturday. Private events for larger groups can be customized based on the number of guests and budget. Partial and full restaurant buyouts are available, including an outdoor pavilion with tented picnic tables.

The mission to serve locally sourced food and drinks remained after Odd Duck graduated from a trailer to its permanent location. Whole hogs come from area farms, fresh eggs are purchased from a local farmer and produce is often sourced from farmers markets. Seasonal menus might include marinated lamb kebabs, stuffed quail and braised goat pizza. Consult Odd Duck’s coordinator to help plan your party.
