FEBRUARY IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Paying homage to Austin's African-American heritage, the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is hosting more than a dozen events in February. The impressive center boasts four galleries, a theater, dance studio, museum store and library.

Representing Harlem from the 1920s and1930s, this production includes prize-winning works by African American women who were amongst the era's most influential playwrights, poets, novelists, journalists and activists.
