Each year, millions of Americans avoid traditional lab testing due to high or unknown costs, lack of convenience or availability, or some combination of both. Over seven billion lab tests are run annually in the United States, and lab testing is used in 70 percent of medical diagnoses. However, the traditional lab testing process is cumbersome, costly and confusing.
Everlywell Founder Julia Cheek was so personally moved by her own experience with lab testing, that she decided to make it her life's work to make lab testing more accessible and affordable. The digital platform connects consumers with certified labs for at-home collection tests that are ordered and reviewed by board-certified physicians.
Today, the Austin-based company offers more than 30 at-home testing kits for men and women, and is advised by a Scientific Advisory Board that includes some of the nation's top scientists from Harvard, MIT, Google and NYU.
