AUSTIN, TX— The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau (Austin CVB) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) hosted the Hospitality Helping Hands event, benefiting Sammy’s House, one of two charitable events during the 2017 Convening Leaders Conference. The event, which sold 150 volunteer slots and offered multiple sponsorship opportunities, raised $12,850 for Sammy’s House, a not for-profit agency that provides services for children who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed.

150 participants worked on a variety of indoor and outdoor projects including playground repair, yard maintenance, toy sorting, sanitizing classrooms and other general repairs and maintenance throughout the facility to improve multiple components of the daycare. Additional sponsors include Experient, Marriott and Global Experience Specialists (GES).
