MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix
Circuit of The Americas
The fastest show on two wheels revs up Austin for three days of bar-banging motorcycle racing action with the greatest riders in the world! The only North American stop of the world's premier motorcycle racing series, the MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix, comes to COTA this October.

Austin City Limits Music Festival
One of the country's largest celebrations of music, this six-day festival brings the magic of the famed public TV series Austin City Limits outside the studio and into Austin's most beloved park with more than 140 musical acts on eight stages over two weekends.
Concacaf FIFA World Cup Qualifying: USMNT vs. Jamaica
Q2 Stadium in Austin will play host to the U.S. Men’s National Team’s World Cup Qualifying match on Thursday, October 7, 2021, against Jamaica. The October 7 event will be the first time the U.S. Men’s National Team plays a World Cup Qualifier in the state of Texas.
German Free School & Mohawk
The German-Texan Heritage Society holds this annual festival, featuring kid-friendly activities during the day along with live music and authentic German food. This is a limited attendance, outdoor event. It'll be the biggest little Oktoberfest around!

UTOPiAfest Down in the Oaks
What began as gathering of music lovers on a ranch, has evolved into a weekend of camping and live music featuring 35+ bands. Festival-goers will enjoy a curated culinary experience, a wine grove, a Texas craft beer garden, workshops, art installations and a kid zone for the little ones.

Boo at the Zoo
Bring the kids in full costume to Boo at the Zoo (Friday and Saturday nights in October), where they can experience the Austin Zoo in a whole new way: in the dark. Train rides, musical entertainment and unlimited Haunted House visits are also included in the fun. Tickets are limited; call 512-288-1490 to make your reservation in advance.
Ranch Rider Migas Fest
Butler Pitch & Putt
Sample complimentary takes on the classic Tex Mex dish from five of Austin's most well-established purveyors (Ciscos, Discada, La Tunita, Nixta, Cuantos). Attendees will cast their vote for who made it best, and the winner will ultimately walk away with the Migas trophy - and bragging rights, of course. Expect a great music line-up, cool merch and plenty of Ranch Rider cans to go around.

Formula 1 Aramco United States Grand Prix
Circuit of The Americas
The pinnacle of motorsports is returning to Texas for a three-day celebration of speed and sound! The Formula 1 USGP provides an action-packed experience that fuses world-class racing with major championship implications. There's no shortage of star power off-track as global superstars Twenty One Pilots hit the Super Stage on Friday night and international icon Billy Joel gives a post-race performance on Saturday night.
O. Henry Pun-Off World Championships
The 43rd annual Pun-Off World Championships consists of two competitions, Punsligners and Punniest of Show, voted upon by the public.
Texas Hemp Harvest Festival

Texas Book Festival
Online, Symphony Square & Austin Central Library
The Texas Book Festival has evolved into one of the premier literary events in the country and hosts about 250 authors each year. Tune in to the online festival from October 23-31 for readings, panel discussions, signings, cooking demonstrations, live music, local food, YA authors, children's activities and more. Or join the in-person celebration with a children's reading on October 30 and more adult programming on October 31.

Texas Teen Book Festival
This free annual festival celebrates the teen reading experience by inviting fans to engage with some of the most popular and critically acclaimed young adult authors in the country. Check out the schedule which is full of panels and readings from some of the best YA authors in the world.
Austin Symphony Orchestra Presents: Halloween Children's Concert
This concert is a wonderful chance for you to introduce your children to the wonders of live orchestral music and also a great opportunity to wear costumes and have tons of fun. The concert hall will be decorated top to bottom to enhance your little one's concert experience.

Ventana Ballet's "UNDEAD"

Elisabet Ney Museum
The Elisabet Ney Museum's annual POLKAPOCALYPSE! is a joint celebration of Oktoberfest, Dia de los Muertos and Halloweeen the Elisabet Ney way. Expect incredible Polka bands, family-friendly games and activities and much more.
This year, the Austin Saengerrunde will celebrate the annual Austin Oktoberfest at Scholz Garten, the oldest continuously operating tavern in the state. This festival celebrates German heritage in Texas with beer, sausage, live music and bowling!
