Black History Month
To commemorate Black History Month there will be events throughout the city celebrating important people and moments in time in African-American history.
Carnaval in Austin is one of the biggest Brazilian Carnaval celebrations outside Brazil. Brasileiro-style samba, costumes and wild abandon can all be seen in the heart of Texas.
2/16/22 - 2/20/22
As one of Austin’s most progressive festivals, OUTsider brings together Austin’s LGBTQI community for three days of creation and inspiration. This multidisciplinary art festival showcases film, performance art, music, visual art and more.
Austin Oyster Festival
This is one tasty festival you don’t want to miss! The Oyster Festival is an annual hit among locals and visitors alike. Not sure which kind of oyster you prefer? Try ‘em all while enjoying a little live Cajun and “newgrass” music on the lawn!

Circuit of The Americas
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) will welcome race fans this March when NASCAR returns Austin for the second time, courtesy of Speedway Motorsports. Experience another unforgettable race weekend with the running of the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series at COTA.
ABC Kite Fest
Every year, the nation's oldest kite festival features hundreds of kites across the Austin sky. This year, the festival is hosting a weekend showcase and contest. More details to be announced soon.
Austin Urban Music Festival
More than 15,000 music revelers converge on Auditorium Shores at Lady Bird Lake to enjoy Austin's only music festival focused on R&B, neo-soul and hip hop music.

Long Live Music
Long Center for the Performing Arts
The Long Center and Luck Reunion announce the return of Long Live Music Presented by White Claw, a socially distanced concert series that will feature performances from some of music’s most cherished acts. Join atxGALS + The Cathedral for Springfest, an intimate and exclusive three-day celebration of local art and music. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
The Wildflower Center is staying open late every Tuesday this Spring to make more hours for wildflowers! Make it a date night, a distanced picnic with friends, or come for some solo solace as spring does its thing. Each evening will feature live music from local musicians, featured visual artists, a rolling lineup of Austin’s favorite food trucks, and take-and-walk adult beverages will be available for purchase too.
