ATX Television Festival
Downtown Austin
ATX Festival is the first festival devoted to Television's history and future. It functions like a traditional film festival with premieres of new series, current hits and cult favorites. ATX Television Festival also offers access to the industry's leading professionals with cast and creator Q&A's and panels focusing on innovation in both production and content delivery.

The Drop-In Summer Concert Series
Long Center
ACL Radio & The Long Center teamed up to bring you a free weekly concert series on the Long Center lawn all summer long. The event features a diverse lineup of Austin’s favorite and emerging artists in the heart of downtown.

6/3/22 - 6/5/22
aGLIFF Pride Mini Film-A-Thon
Galaxy Theaters
Four feature films, one shorts program, a LIVE comedy show with America’s Got Talent finalist Julia Scotti including a screening of Susan Sandler’s award-winning documentary portrait Julia Scotti: Funny That Way, Live Q&As with film directors along with parties and more being offered the entire weekend celebrating pride with aGLIFF.

6/8/22 - 6/12/22
Cine Las Americas International Film Festival
Various Locations
The festival showcases contemporary films and videos from Latin America (North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean) and the Iberian Peninsula. Films and videos made by or about Latinxs in the U.S. or the rest of the world, as well as films and videos by or about Indigenous groups of the Americas are also invited to participate.

6/9/22 - 6/12/22
Republic of Texas Biker Rally
Circuit of The Americas
The state's largest motorcycle gathering attracts thousands of bikers for rides, parades and music.

Oddities and Curiosities Expo
Palmer Events Center
This expo showcases vendors, dealers and artists featuring all things weird. Find items such as: preserved specimens, original artwork, horror- and Halloween-inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry and much more.

Soul Food Truck Fest
Huston-Tillotson University
Get a taste of Austin's mobile soul food gems at this annual festival. From savory barbecue to Cajun-seasoned seafood and traditional soul food, 10+ food trucks will be serving up mouthwatering dishes. The festival will also feature kid-friendly activities, live music, retail vendors and more.

Central Texas Juneteenth 2K, Parade & Celebration 
Historic East Austin and Rosewood Park
Juneteenth, also known as "Freedom Day" or "Emancipation Day," is the oldest known African American celebration commemorating the end of slavery. This annual event features a parade with floats and entertainment, and a celebration with food and local vendors at Rosewood Park.

Stay Black and Live: A Virtual Juneteenth Festival
Virtual Event
The George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center hosts this virtual Juneteenth celebration, featuring film screenings, art auctions, free food, a dance party, poetry, music and more.

Austin Asian American Film Festival
Various Locations
The Austin Asian American Film Festival (AAAFF) celebrated feature filmmakers’ unique voices and create a forum where viewers can come together to experience the wide array of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) perspectives.

African American Book Festival
George Washington Carver Center
This free literary event showcases new works by and about African Americans. Notable speakers and authors will discuss their works and facilitate conversations.

Pride in Local Music Festival
Long Center for the Performing Arts
The Pride in Local Music concert event celebrates local music through the rainbow heartbeat of our great music city, produced by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The day features musical performances from local artists on the lawn at Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Paramount Summer Classic Film Series
The Paramount Theatre
Flashing marquee lights. Buttery popcorn. Colossal screen. It’s that movie palace atmosphere, an air-conditioned oasis. THIS is how movies were meant to be seen. The Annual Paramount Summer Classic Film Series presented by CapMetro returns in May. New films will be announced each month.

July 2022 Austin Events and Festivals

H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks

The Austin Symphony hosts an annual concert of patriotic music culminating in a spectacular firework display over Lady Bird Lake.

Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration
Hill Country Galleria

Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic
Q2 Stadium
Created in 1972 by Willie himself, this Independence Day celebration features incredible live music acts and a fireworks show.

Zilker Summer Musical
Zilker Hillside Theater
Pack a picnic and come enjoy the free, annual musical at the Zilker Hillside Theater. The outdoor theatre troupe will host live performances Thursdays through Sundays, beginning around 8:15 p.m.

Premier Rugby Sevens
Q2 Stadium
America's biggest sevens stars are bringing rugby's greatest party to Austin. Watch eight teams compete in the fastest game on Earth.

Blues on the Green
Zilker Park
Pack a blanket and the family and make your way to Zilker Park for this summertime tradition. Held monthly each summer, Austin's largest free concert series will welcome performances by local artists.
