Cine Las Americas International Film Festival
Virtual & In-Person Events
The festival showcases contemporary films and videos from Latin America (North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean) and the Iberian Peninsula. Films and videos made by or about Latinxs in the U.S. or the rest of the world, as well as films and videos by or about Indigenous groups of the Americas are also invited to participate.

6/11/21 - 6/20/21
ATX Television Festival
Virtual Event
This year, ATX Television Festival is hosting a ten-day virtual event to celebrate the television medium: looking back at its history, where it is now, and where it is headed. The festival consists of panels, screenings and events where attendees and leaders in the TV industry talk, watch and experience television together as one community.

6/10/21 - 6/13/21
Republic of Texas Biker Rally
Travis County Exposition Center and Sixth Street
The state's largest motorcycle gathering attracts thousands of bikers for rides, parades and music.

Austin FC Inaugural Home Game
Q2 Stadium
Come cheer on Austin FC, the city's first Major League Soccer team, for their first home game at Q2 Stadium! This June, the team takes on the San Jose Earthquakes in a nationally televised match on UniMás and TUDN, starting at 8 p.m. CST. Single-match ticketing information for all regular-season home matches at Q2 Stadium will be released at a later date.

Austin Asian American Film Festival

The Austin Asian American Film Festival (AAAFF) celebrated feature filmmakers’ unique voices and create a forum where viewers can come together to experience the wide array of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) perspectives.

Blues on the Green
Zilker Park
Pack a blanket and the family and make your way to Zilker Park for this summertime tradition. Held monthly from May to August, Austin's largest free concert series will welcome performances by top local bands.

Central Texas Juneteenth 2K, Parade & Celebration 
MLK Blvd. and Rosewood Park
Juneteenth, also known as "Freedom Day" or "Emancipation Day," is the oldest known African American celebration commemorating the end of slavery. This annual event features a 2K walk/run, parade floats and entertainment and celebration at Rosewood Park.

Stay Black and Live: A Virtual Juneteenth Festival

The George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center hosts this virtual Juneteenth celebration, featuring film screenings, art auctions, free food, a dance party, poetry, music and more.

Virtual African American Book Festival
Location TBA
This free, virtual literary event showcases new works by and about African Americans. Notable speakers and authors will discuss their works and facilitate conversations.

July 2021 Austin Events and Festivals

Blues on the Green
Zilker Park
Pack a blanket and the family and make your way to Zilker Park for this summertime tradition. Held monthly from May to August, Austin's largest free concert series will welcome performances by local artists.

H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks
Vic Mathias Shores
The Austin Symphony hosts an annual concert of patriotic music culminating in a spectacular firework display over Lady Bird Lake.

Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration
Hill Country Galleria
Shopping, music, barbecue, fireworks and fun for the whole family, including the dogs. 

Hot Summer Nights
Red River Cultural District
Each summer, 20 venues throughout the Red River Cultural District host four days of free live music, alongside local food and vendors. Local acts like Golden Dawn Arkestra, Emily Wolfe, Moving Panoramas, Ringo Deathstarr and more have taken over stages in past years to celebrate summer in the Live Music Capital of the World®.

The Mohawk
The annual Quesoff, a celebration of all things melted cheese, returns to the Mohawk this August. 30 vendors - restaurants, top chefs, home-cooks, neighbors, brothers and sisters - will go head to head in four categories - Meaty, Spicy, Veggie and Wild Card.

Zilker Summer Musical
Zilker Hillside Theatre
Pack a picnic and come enjoy the free, annual musical at the Zilker Hillside Theatre. The outdoor amphitheater plans to host performances of Little Shop of Horrors Thursdays through Sundays beginning around 8:15 p.m. Tickets will be released in June.
