Visit Austin Appoints Tina Cannon as Vice President, Strategic Alliances & Executive Director of the Visit Austin Foundation
Visit Austin is pleased to announce the appointment of Tina Cannon as Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Executive Director of the Visit Austin Foundation, effective September 22, 2025.
Ms. Cannon joins Visit Austin with extensive experience in leadership, fundraising, and community engagement. She was most recently President & CEO of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, where she significantly boosted membership and revenue and implemented impactful programs. Her career also includes roles as VP of Government Relations for the Greater Austin Chamber and Senior Policy Analyst for the City of Austin.
In her new capacity, Ms. Cannon will be responsible for driving Visit Austin's strategic partnerships, enhancing its brand presence, and promoting sustainable tourism initiatives. As Executive Director of the Visit Austin Foundation, she will lead efforts to support education, job training, and career opportunities within Austin’s vibrant hospitality, music, and tourism industries. Her dedication to equity, growth, and opportunity aligns seamlessly with the Foundation’s mission to create a stronger, more connected Austin.

Ms. Cannon holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas State University and has a strong track record of civic engagement, including prior service as a Board Member for Visit Austin since 2021. Her extensive background and passion for Austin will be invaluable as Visit Austin continues to promote economic vitality and develop the next generation of hospitality professionals.
