AUSTIN, TX—Visit Austin today announced its inaugural Tourism and Hospitality Career Fair, hosted on October 3rd  at the Austin Convention Center. The event will introduce those looking to start or grow their career in the industry by promoting positions from entry level to management. Currently, 30 local businesses will be exhibiting, representing more than 250 open positions in the Austin hospitality market, with more businesses registering daily.

“Hospitality is the third largest employer in Austin and by hosting this career fair, we are able connect Austin employers with diverse local talent who are interested in our growing industry,” said Tom Noonan, President and CEO of Visit Austin. “The Career Fair will also serve as an educational opportunity for those looking to learn about the industry and the tremendous amount of upward growth potential offered in tourism and hospitality.”

Event supporters include, Austin Community College, Greater Austin Restaurant Association, Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation, Texas Restaurant Association, Austin Hotel & Lodging Association, Austin Community College Hospitality Management and the Austin Convention Center.
