Mocktails are so hot right now. Thinking outside the booze is quickly becoming a requirement for most establishments and Austin bars and restaurants have stepped up to the challenge. Regardless of whether you’re sober, sober-curious, taking a night off, or just looking for a really tasty beverage, you’ll find a bevy of non-alcoholic beverages during Dry January and throughout the year.

Craft Cocktail Bars with N/A Expertise

The Roosevelt Room
Regarded as one of the best bars in the country, their zero-proof menu is a technical masterpiece. The NA’Groni (verjus rouge and gentian tea) and the Glitter & Marigold (orange flower water, pistachio, and vanilla) are mixologist masterpieces, giving complex cocktail energy without the booze.

Parley
Newly opened in late 2025, Parley treats NA drinks as "composed cocktails" rather than placeholders. Try the balanced Penichillin’ (pear, honey, ginger, and lemon) or The Beetrooter, an earthy blend of beet, carrot, and cinnamon.

Codependent
This sleek downtown spot features mocktails that lean fresh and lightly textured. We suggest ordering the Well Manoered Monk (NA tequila, cucumber, and pineapple) or Tell Me Something Good (prickly pear and coconut water).

Primarily Dry & Community Spaces

Sans Bar
As the first non-alcoholic bar in North America, Sans Bar remains the heartbeat of the sober community. Open for regular hours on Friday nights, they kick off 2026 with a month-long slate of programming. Look for their "Dry January Kickoff" featuring TÖST sparkling wines and a rotation of local zero-proof spirits.

Daybreaker @ Stardust Garage
For those who want the energy of a dance floor without the late-night bar culture, Daybreaker hosts alcohol-free morning dance parties. On January 31, they are hosting a major Dry January celebration pairing bass-heavy DJ sets with natural dopamine boosters like movement and shared energy.

Patios with Great Mocktails

Armadillo Den
This spot is a year-round favorite for its award-winning draft mocktail program. Grab the Frescadillo Paloma (pink grapefruit and sea salt) or Ford’s Ranch Water (Thai basil sparkling water and cucumber) for sipping in their expansive back yard.

Cosmic Coffee & Cocktails
Cosmic has expanded its "outer limits" menu to include functional elixirs and zero-proof classics. Grab a little extra energy from their Zero-Proof Espresso Martini or the Liquid Sunshine (pitaya energy elixir).

Kinda Tropical
This eastside gem offers one of the deepest lists in town, including a jalapeño pineapple margarita or their Rosemary Lane.

Yard Bar
Heaven is a field of puppies and that’s what you’ll find at Yard Bar. Both a bar and a dog park, Yard Bar is a popular spot for dog owners and dog lovers of all kinds. Sit outside, shaded by a huge tree, and hang with four-footed friends whilst enjoying a cold Strawberry Fields (Seedlip Garden, strawberry, mint, lime) or a Burnt Orange Blast (Seedlip citrus, vanilla, orange).

Restaurants with N/A Bar Programs

Hillside Farmacy
Located in a beautifully restored 1950s pharmacy, Hillside Farmacy offers a nostalgic and sophisticated take on non-alcoholic refreshments. Their "Soda Fountain" menu features house-made syrups and herbal blends that feel more like craft elixirs than standard soft drinks.

Juliet Italian Kitchen
Perfect for pairing with pasta, Juliet’s 2026 menu focuses on shrubs and NA aperitifs. Their January special include the tasty New Year, New Me! (blueberry basil shrub) and the Resolution Refresher.

Loro
A collaboration between chefs Aaron Franklin and Tyson Cole, this  South Austin staple is great for patio sipping with a focus on bright, Asian-inspired flavors. If you aren’t afraid of a little spice, order the Spicy Cucumber with yuzu and ghost agave.

Uncle Nicky's
Some restaurants have disappointing mocktail options (ever been told seltzer water with grapefruit juice is the best a restaurant can do?), but that's not the case at Uncle Nicky's. Take your pick at a number of inventive non-alcoholic options, like their refreshing Porch Swing or unusual Fluffy Orange Mule.

Activity-Driven "Low & No" Hangouts

Pins Mechanical Co.
This hip new bowling alley in South Austin features a dedicated "Low & No" menu designed to keep your game sharp. Try the Extra Credit (Lyre’s Aperitif Rosso, Italian Spritz, honey mango, and rose water) or the Gym Class Zero (NA gin, desert pear, and tonic).

Holey Moley Golf Club
Mini-golf meets high-end mocktails and this indoor putt-putt course. The Pink Lightning or the frozen Mock O’Colada are delightful n/a options to sip while you putt.
