About
The oldest standing frame structure in Austin served as the diplomatic outpost of France during the days of the Republic of Texas. The State Historic Site offers guided tours of the historic house (built in 1841) and reconstructed, detached Creole kitchen. The park includes two and a half acres of lush grass, native trees and formal gardens.
