    About

The O. Henry Museum is the former Austin residence of William Sydney Porter, otherwise known as O. Henry, the famed short story writer who authored such classics as The Gift of the Magi, The Ransom of Red Chief, and The Last Leaf. The museum offers original furniture and décor from his former home, as well as illustrations, sheet music, and manuscripts by Porter, including a “lost” story written under another pen name. The museum is the site of the popular Pun-Off World Championship.
