Former florist Shannon Donaldson started Succulent Native when she realized that the bouquets she was selling from her flower bike on South Congress were wilting quickly under the harsh Texas sun. Shannon knew the only option was to pivot to something that was a bit more native and conditioned to the heat, succulents.
Since then, Succulent Native has expanded to two locations on South and North Lamar. Not only does Succulent Native feature a wide variety of succulents and plant care items, they also offer planting parties, succulent subscription boxes, and house calls.
