    About

The Texas Tennis Center is a 24,000 square-foot facility that provides 12 outdoor courts and a centralized headquarters for the Longhorns’ men’s and women’s tennis programs. It will enable student-athletes to train, compete, refuel, recover and study in the same building. The $20 million Texas Tennis Center features well-appointed men’s and women’s locker rooms with customized individual lockers for the Texas men’s and women’s teams in addition to locker room space for visiting teams. The Sheffield Family Players Lounge is situated conveniently between the Texas men’s and women’s locker rooms and offers student-athletes a space to relax and refuel on training and match days. The Players Lounge includes an adjacent quiet study room with individual desks for student-athletes to stay on top of their academics. The Texas Tennis Center offers a full-sized athletic training room with a hydrotherapy plunge pool on-site that will allow student-athletes to expedite their recovery following their matches. Student-athletes can take advantage of a 3,200 square-foot weight and fitness room to conduct their regular strength and conditioning training through any given week. The stadium grandstand provides ample bleacher seating for up to 1,200 spectators. The grandstand includes four restrooms, a concession stand and an elevated operations/press box to house UT gameday personnel. Spectators enter the facility through a two-story foyer that highlights the rich history of Texas Tennis via archive photos, signage and illustrative graphics.
