PRESS TRIP REQUEST

At Visit Austin, it’s our pleasure to assist members of the press with stories and features about Austin as a meetings and leisure travel destination. Approval regarding hosting is handled on an individual basis and involves a variety of factors such as story angle, media outlet, qualifications and available budget. 

To request a hosted media visit, please review guidelines below and complete the request form at least four weeks in advance of request trip dates to confirm availability. 

Influencer & Content Creators

For influencer/content creator collaborations or hosted visits, please complete this application. Someone will reach out to you within 1-2 weeks.

Press trip guidelines:

• Journalist must be on assignment and able to submit official letter or reference to confirm.

• Complimentary stays and industry or media rates are provided at the discretion of the host hotels and are subject to availability.

• Hosted press stay is 3 days/2 nights. The cost for a longer stay may be passed along to the journalist.

• Visit Austin does not cover air travel to Austin, or ground transportation within Austin.

• Visit Austin may not be able to accommodate spouses, children and/or other guests accompanying journalists. 

• Meals accompanied by a Visit Austin staff member will be covered, but all visiting press should plan to pay for some portion of their meals during their visit.
