Visit Austin kicks off the 36th annual National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) with the second annual Tourism & Hospitality Career Fair, connecting hospitality businesses with local talent. NTTW, is celebrated in communities nationwide to showcase the impact of travel to policymakers, business leaders and media through events and other activities. Throughout the week, Visit Austin will celebrate NTTW with live music performances at the Austin Visitor Center and by providing discounts at local businesses for visitors and members of the hospitality industry. In addition, the Visit Austin Foundation is encouraging those who witness outstanding customer service from a member of the hospitality industry to nominate them for the Visit Austin Foundation Award and Scholarship.
“National Travel and Tourism Week is a week when we get to celebrate the 126,000 hospitality employees in this city who continue to leave a lasting impression on visitors from around the world,” said Tom Noonan, President and CEO of Visit Austin. “We are grateful for the employees in our industry who are vital to Austin tourism.”
Starting on May 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Austin Visitor Center, Visit Austin will be hosting live performances from local musicians: Laura Lee Imhoff, Ali Holder, Kevin Galloway, Swing 512, Caleb J.
