Convention Sales Department
Visit Austin has an immediate opening for a customer service-oriented individual with good communication skills, excellent office/clerical skills and a general knowledge of Austin and the hospitality industry. This is a non-exempt, hourly position, serving as assistant to our convention sales managers, responding to incoming inquiries, assisting with leads.
Qualified individuals should possess proven abilities to take direction and work well under pressure. Important personal traits are the ability to learn quickly, take initiative and work with little supervision and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Required: customer service experience; strong verbal and written communication skills; computer expertise including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; high school diploma or equivalent; and 2 years office experience.
Preferred: knowledge of the Austin hotel industry; experience working in a sales software database.
